Prayer Letter 21st July
Hi, this is Johnathan Macris writing you this short paragraph!
As I got out of the car at the customs office this morning I received a call on my cell phone that we were being offered a breakthrough price for 60,000 Greek New Testaments for 2.50 Euro for a total of 150,000 Euro!
I was so excited for the discount down from 4 Euro each that I let out a shout of Hallelujah, and then looked around in the parking lot to see if anyone had noticed! We have 25,000 Euro but I have never been so excited about a single project to bless so many people on the islands of Greece! Will you prayerfully consider being a part of God’s wonder-working miracles…to see this dream become a reality in the next 6 weeks?
Because our God is faithful, WE can do it! Hallelujah!
PRAYER:
• Pray for the Greek young people to sense the urgency of involvement in evangelism, both in their own neighborhood and throughout the world. Pray for their participation in Operation Gideon.
• Pray for the pastors and their team of seven from Pakistan who are applying for their visas to join us for Operation Gideon. They plan to go to the island of Samos; they have been praying and fasting for this island for 1 year. Also pray for teams coming from Algeria, Tunisia.
• Pray for us as we continue to seek God for 150,000 Euro, which is still needed for 60,000 New Testaments and literature packets.
• Pray for the spirit of repentance and sensitivity towards sin among God’s people here in Greece and among the volunteers that will be coming to Greece to serve Him.
PRAISE:
• For the recent Mission conference in northern Greece where many people gathered together to hear about mission involvement. Hellenic Ministries was represented there. The guest speaker was Ron Cline, former president of HCJB Radio, Quito, Ecuador.
• For the donations of free literature to go in our 60,000 literature packets.
• For the great interest of Greek youth in our sports camps, which took place a couple of weeks ago. Praise the Lord for the many decisions that were made to receive Christ and also for re-dedication to God.
• For a growing movement of humility, servanthood and unity among Christian organizations and Churches here in Greece.
